Kaumahan Festival is part of the Green Events initiative. As such, we fulfill the Criteria for Sustainable Events laid out by the Ministry for the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity. Here are some of the measures we take:

    • We offer vegetarian options on our menu.
    • We source regional products as well as Bio-certified and Fairtrade ingredients.
    • We avoid disposable waste as much as possible, both behind the counter and in front.
    • Our tableware is reusable and is washed in an eco-friendly way (Spullweenchen).
    • We do without straws in your drinks – unless you specifically ask for them.
    • We provide a Refill station for your water bottles.

We highly recommend our guests to think green and take part in the initiative. Here are a few examples of how you can help:

    • If possible, consider public transport or other sustainable methods to get to the festival. The bus stop Huttange (Hitten) is situated right at the venue and is served by national line 933 connecting Beckerich and Noerdange. You can plan your journey via mobiliteit.lu. The venue is also connected to national and regional cycle routes.
    • If you plan on ordering a takeaway, bring your own reusable containers. We’re happy to fill them up for you.
    • Follow the recycling instructions given at the venue.
